Notice of Annual Public Forum – QUEST Integration Section 1115 Demonstration Project

 

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services approved the State of Hawai‘i’s “QUEST Integration” (Project Number 11-W-00001/9) Demonstration under Section 1115(a) of the Social Security Act on July 31, 2019.

The five-year demonstration project, which is administered by the Department of Human Services(DHS), Med-QUEST Division (MQD), authorizes Hawaii to continue providing Medicaid benefits through its managed care delivery system, continue providing Home and Community-Based Services to certain populations, and expand access to and benefits of Community Integration Services for beneficiaries who meet specified needs-based criteria.  This demonstration project is approved through July 31, 2024.  The demonstration project can be found on the Med-QUEST Website:

Under the provisions of federal law, the State must hold a public forum to solicit comments on the progress of the demonstration project.  The annual public forum will be held during the Med-QUEST Healthcare Advisory Committee (MHAC) meeting. The public will have an opportunity to provide meaningful comments on the progress of the demonstration project as described in this notification.

Interested parties are invited to join the public forum and to state their views regarding progress on the demonstration project.
